Influenced by the classic Australian nature of artists such as Paul Kelly to the power and musicality of Neil Young and the effervescent pop sensibility of artist’s like Vance Joy, Matt weaves a charming relaxed nature thru blues influenced acoustic folk ballads.
Recent highlights include supporting rising Australian star Steph Strings, touring WA with Australia’s leading roots song-writer and slide guitarist Jeff Lang to which Kalamunda hosted a sold-out show in 2020 and hosting Kalamunda’s Songwriters Round Table to rave reviews in 2019, 20 and 21
With multiple nominations for Western Australian Song Of the Year and a win in the Blues and Roots category in 2011 with his track Overdrive, Matt has performed across the state on countless tours and played many of WA’s best Festivals such as Nannup Music Festival, Blues At Bridgetown, Denmark Festival Of The Voice, Blossum Festival and many more.
